The British Council is seeking participants to take part in an Internationalisation Learning Cohort (ILC) Programme (part of the British Council’s Going Global Partnerships Programme).
Internationalisation Learning Cohorts (ILCs) is a British Council programme designed to strengthen internationalisation by bringing together an interested group of Higher Education Institution (HEI) leaders and experts both in the UK and overseas. The aim of the cohort session is to encourage a sustained dialogue on a relevant theme, to develop a greater understanding of a prominent aspect of higher education and virtually network with peers around the globe.
The workshop will be divided into four (4) individual sessions which will support learning and knowledge sharing. The sessions will explore the meaning of TNE, its various aspects and its role within contemporary higher education. Participants will learn how to:
- Develop a core understanding of TNE: structures, opportunities, benefits, challenges, and the relevance of TNE to higher education.
- Relate examples and action plan design to local context and develop strategies for engagement and sustainability within TNE.
- Review national context and internal capacity for individuals and the institution and identify key areas for future engagement.
Interested participants are expected to be available to take part in all sessions. Sessions are to be delivered on four different days as follows:

The workshops will be delivered by our partner organisation, ‘The IC Global Partnership’. Each session will be chaired by an expert in transnational education and will feature guest speakers from prominent TNE practitioners from HEIs in the UK and overseas.
